Hearthstone‘s new Murder at Castle Nathria expansion is certainly thematically exciting (who doesn’t love a good murder mystery?), but there are serious questions about how the expansion will impact the game’s competitive meta. There are already some who fear that many of the expansion’s new cards will prove to be just a bit too gimmicky. However, after spending a little time with the expansion’s new cards during a recent preview event, I feel confident suggesting that Castle Nathria is going to surprise a lot of Hearthstone fans....

Hearthstone‘s new Throne of the Tides mini-set isn’t quite the game-changer that the CCG’s full expansions usually are, but it still features enough new cards to shake up the competitive meta and open up some new deckbuilding possibilities. As is usually the case with these mini-sets, Throne of the Tides certainly makes some of the game’s best decks just a little better than before. However, it’s clear that this expansion’s new cards will also help rescue a few deck archetypes that have struggled to really break into the game in a big way in recent weeks....

Buzzy teen drama Cruel Summer is one of 2021’s most unexpected delights, a wildly addictive, twisty mystery spread across three distinct timelines and featuring a pair of great young actresses at its center in Olivia Holt and Chiara Aurelia. The story, which ostensibly follows the aftermath of a kidnapping in a small Texas town, has a little bit of everything: Unreliable narrators, a nostalgia-heavy 1990s setting, a banging soundtrack, and one of television’s most carefully nuanced depictions of trauma and the lingering effect it can have on those whose lives it touches....

To see that influence, you need to look not at the big screen, but at the small screen. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Green Lantern co-writer Greg Berlanti put it plainly. “[W]hile it was heartbreaking on the film side,” Berlanti said of the movie’s failure; “it ultimately led to wonderful things on the television side.” In other words, had Green Lantern been a success, Berlanti would have been stuck continuing work on DC movies, instead of creating the Arrowverse....

On paper, a Vikings spin-off certainly seems like a no-brainer.
